It’s been a fun few days with Bailey. She had a good weekend. She’s been enjoying her new toys and is perfectly content practicing all her rollover skills. She’s still lovin’ on her feet, too. We were in the store the other day, and I think she held onto her left foot all the time, which prompted the lady behind me in line to ask, “Does she do that all the time?” It was funny.
We tried bananas this week and like most new things, she had a peculiar look on her face the first time I spooned them into her mouth, as if to say, “What the heck is this, Mommy?” But she soon realized that they are tasty, and she scarfed them down.
She’s doing better at night, too, but getting less sleep during the day because she wakes herself up when she tries to rollover. Of course it doesn’t help that we’ve been remodeling our bathroom, so all the commotion in the house isn’t exactly conducive to helping a baby sleep. Alas, life goes on.
She’s 20 weeks tomorrow (5 months). I can’t believe it. Kids grow up so fast. Everyone tells you if you blink, you’ll miss it. You just have to remember as a parent to be present in every moment and try and take it all in… because it’s such a blessing.
